Outreach and Wellbeing Officer
We are delighted to announce that SMP now has its very own mental wellbeing outreach worker in place! This has been a huge boost to the organisation. The post is funded for 3 years by UK Youth. It’s been 7 years now since we first started out on our mental wellbeing pathway, which started with an 8-week trial football and workshop programme in Brockwell Park in partnership with London Youth. We have learned a great deal along the way and delivered numerous wellbeing programmes. A huge thank you to all those who’ve also supported and educated us on this journey, including Whitney Isles and Project 507, South Central Youth, the Berkeley Foundation and Partisan CIC.
‘I am thrilled to be joining the St. Matthew’s Project as the outreach and wellbeing officer. I am excited to meet the young people and their families and to bring some fresh and innovative ideas to the table. I am passionate about improving people’s lives and I am really looking forward to contribute in making a real difference in the community.’
