ORANGE ROCK CORPS VOLUNTEERING DAY
The St. Matthew’s Project in partnership with Paul Carter, the Brockwell Park manager, and Global Action Plan have organised an Orange Rock Corps volunteering day in Brockwell Park on Wednesday June 1st. Give 4 hours of your time in return for free concert tickets at this year’s Orange Rock Corps concert at Wembley Arena on July 12th, with acts including Jessie J and Eliza Doolittle (more acts to be announced).
The volunteering day will run from 2.00 – 6.00pm and will involve a variety of jobs around the park, including painting the bowling pavilion and the fence around the St. Matthew’s storage room and putting up a new SMP sign. Other tasks will involve erecting some fencing around the BMX track and cutting back bushes. This is a brilliant project that will benefit not only the St. Matthew’s Project but the thousands of people that use the park throughout the year!
