The latest BTEC ‘Run the Club’ students had their 2-week work placement in Barcelona in May. The students were hosted by RCD Espanyol and got to see how a small club can survive in La Liga, in the shadow of one of Europe’s footballing giants, by running a top class youth academy and scouting network. They also got to visit the famous Camp Nou stadium, home of Espanyol’s city rivals Barcelona F.C. They did manage to enjoy a day off, too, to take in the Pentecost carnival and the beach!
If you or anyone you know would like to enrol on the next ‘Run the Club’ course, we are enrolling now. Ages: 16-24.
